How The Cellular Phones Works

Cellular phones work by using several small areas to transfer the call from one area to another. These areas are called "cells." That is how cellular phones acquired their names. The cells enable one to talk on the phone while in a moving vehicle. It also helps one talk to another from a long distance by moving from cell to cell. In other words, to make a call from Sacramento, California to Lake Tahoe, Nevada one's call would travel from the Sacramento Cell to the Auburn Cell to the Donner Summit Cell and finally reach the caller in Lake Tahoe. This is because the call must travel over the Sierra Nevada Mountains and any other things that could prevent the call from reaching its destination.
